AVI-8’s incredible story of the P-51 Mustang continues with this special timepiece, produced to commemorate the brave pilots who sacrificed their lives during Operation Jubilee on August 19, 1942 – which also marked the first ever P-51 Mustang aerial victory.

Forged out of stainless steel, a fluidly brushed and polished 43mm case showcases a custom-built crown guard, with detailing inspired by the P-51 Mustang’s engine exhaust. A domed, scratch resistant sapphire lens with anti-reflective coating crowns the case bezel, with an etched minute track.

A clear and legible dial is perfectly designed with aviation elements taken straight from the P-51 Mustang. Inspired by the instrument panel, a bi-textured, multi-layered dial is complemented by bold Arabic, baton and triangle indexes, lathered with Swiss lume for after-dark visibility.

Under the hood, a bespoke NH35 Japanese automatic movement delivers an ultra-reliable timekeeping experience. An intelligently designed rotor, in tandem with a custom case back plate, draws direct inspiration from the P-51 Mustang’s gyroscopically driven artificial horizon.

Strapping the watch to the wrist is a carefully articulated solid stainless steel H-link bracelet. Each timepiece is paired with an additional premium grade, genuine leather strap, with tri-colour stitching nodding to the fin markings on Hollis Hills’ P-51 Mustang.

To pay tribute to their sacrifices, the colourways are named after the P-51 Mustang fighter squadrons’ bases for Operation Jubilee, in addition to their Wing Command base.

Individually numbered and limited to 1,200pcs, each timepiece comes packaged in a stunning navy blue nylon-wrapped giftbox.
