To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Daily Mail Transatlantic Air Race in 1969 won by Tom Lecky-Thompson in Harrier XV741, AVI-8 worked closely with renowned aviation restoration company Jet Art Aviation to produce a series of limited edition timepieces.

Funds raised were used to provide lifetime support to those wounded in the service of their country. This limited edition timepiece chronicles the heartwarming story of Captain Matthew Quy and his wife Tina, who acquired and restored a vintage Stearman biplane. To their astonishment, they discovered it was one of the surviving planes used to train the Tuskegee Airmen. Renamed "Spirit of Tuskegee," the Quys passionately flew the plane to air shows, educating people about the Airmen's history.
